Kiszla vs. Gabriel: Is J.J. McCarthy or Michael Penix Jr. the answer for Broncos at quarterback?

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 09:03:02 GMT

Kiz: While “Sparky” Stidham was the lead actor in a Broncos borefest, J.J. McCarthy and Michael Penix Jr. were stars of two instant classics in the College Football Playoff semifinals. If your goal from Denver’s 16-9 victory over the Chargers was a nap, maybe Stidham is the guy you want as the team’s QB of the future. But after watching McCarthy lead a stirring fourth-quarter comeback against Alabama and Penix drop a staggering 430 yards passing on Texas, might there be a better option for Denver in the NFL draft?Take Our Poll(function(d,c,j){if(!d.getElementById(j)){var pd=d.createElement(c),s;pd.id=j;pd.src='https://www.denverpost.com/wp-content/plugins/polldaddy/js/polldaddy-shortcode.js';s=d.getElementsByTagName(c)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(pd,s);} else if(typeof jQuery !=='undefined')jQuery(d.body).trigger('pd-script-load');}(document,'script','pd-polldaddy-loader'));Gabriel: Good question, Sparky. Sierra Nevada snowpack at lowest level in 10 years: What it means for California’s water supply

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 09:03:02 GMT

California’s statewide Sierra Nevada snowpack — the source of nearly one-third of the state’s water supply — is at its lowest level in a decade, a major turnaround from last year when huge storms ended a three year-drought and buried ski resorts in massive amounts of snow.On Tuesday, the snowpack was just 25% of its historical average for Jan. 2. That “money in the bank” means chances are ...
