SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — His team huddled up before taking the floor, Harrison Barnes hollered a message to the Kings with their special season on the line: “Leave it all on the floor and take this series back to Sac!”With spectacular performances on both ends against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, the Kings are going home to Sacramento for Game 7 against the defending champions.Malik Monk can only imagine what a winner-take-all showdown might be like with a chance to extend this long-awaited playoff run as all those supporters try to will their Kings into the second round. For Curry and Co., there’s no imagining necessary — they know what hostile road environments feel like for elimination games, having been there so many times over the past decade on the way to four titles.“Man, I never been to Game 7, so I don’t know. I don’t know what to expect,” Monk said. “I just know I’m going to go out there and play 110 percent, give it my all, and continue to do what I’ve b...Rangers ace deGrom evaluated for tightness around wrist

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers ace Jacob deGrom underwent tests Saturday after early exits in two of his last three starts because of tightness in his lower right forearm near his wrist. That came 11 days after he exited at Kansas City following four hitless innings. Bochy said before Saturday night’s game that the team was still waiting for the results of the ongoing evaluations on the two-time National League Cy Young Award winner, who as a free agent last December signed a $185 million, five-year contract with Texas. “We’ll just wait to hear what the doctors say and we’ll find out if he needs time or not,” Bochy said. “Obviously, we’re being optimistic having gone through this a little already with him.”Texas has won all six games started by deGrom (2-0), but he has been limited to 30 1/...Lauderhill man hospitalized after apartment break-in leads to shooting

Cambridge residents and leaders are hoping a change in leadership at the state Department of Conservation and Recreation will lead to Memorial Drive reopening all weekend for pedestrians and cyclists.Brian Arrigo, former mayor of the city of Revere, took over as DCR commissioner on April 24, just weeks after the agency decided to limit access to Cambridge’s popular recreational opportunity to just Sundays.Residents and those visiting the city had been allowed to stroll along the extended Riverbend Park, next to the Charles River, on Saturdays and Sundays the past few years, but the DCR has reverted back to the schedule that had been in place before the pandemic.A state law, enacted in 1985, mandated the opening of Riverbend Park and the closing of Memorial Drive from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the last Sunday of April through the second Sunday of November every year.“I’m really hoping this is the first thing (Arrigo) revisits,” said Christopher Cassa, a member of the steering committee for ...Dolphins take college WR who will play TE, offensive tackle on Day 3 of NFL draft

And the Dolphins plan to use him that way.Higgins said he mostly communicated with Miami tight ends coach Jon Embree in the pre-draft process. He said it will be a transition after primarily playing as a slot receiver in college. In 2022, Higgins had 59 receptions for 704 yards and two touchdowns after becoming a focal point in the Cardinal offense as a junior in 2021 when he made 45 catches for 500 yards and four touchdowns.Higgins is to...Chicago Bears in the 2023 NFL draft: RB Roschon Johnson and WR Tyler Scott headline Day 3 additions
